Nigerian American artist Jidé steps forward with the release of his new two-pack single, “XTC,” continuing his steady rise as a cross-cultural voice in contemporary music.

Born Timilehin Onawole and raised in Lagos, Nigeria, Jidé’s musical journey began early, playing drums in his primary school band while also learning piano and music theory.
After relocating to the United States, his passion deepened as he explored music production and collaborated with local artists in Houston.
Influenced by life across Lagos, California, Louisiana, and Texas, Jidé blends Afrobeats with American R&B and hip-hop elements to craft a sound that feels both global and personal. “XTC” captures this fusion, offering smooth melodies, rhythmic depth, and an evolving artistic identity.
