Afro-fusion artist Abiola Andre returns with “Top Striker,” a love song celebrating affection, admiration and the ambition of someone special.
Written from the perspective of what comes after the chase, the track pays tribute to a partner whose drive inspires Andre as much as his love for her. Its title draws from football, where the striker is the player a team builds its attack around, and serves as his affectionate nickname for her.
Built on African percussion, soft chords, trap-influenced drums and layered vocals, “Top Striker” pairs sweet songwriting with a confident Afro-fusion bounce, closing with the refrain, “Omo mi Top Striker.”
Following his emergence with “Lost In Your Ways,” Andre continues to grow his catalogue and live presence, with performances across Nigeria, the UK and Europe.
