Tems has made history as the first African female artist to earn a RIAA Diamond-certified single in the United States after Future, Drake, and Tems’ hit collaboration “Wait For U” was certified 11× Platinum, surpassing 10 million units sold.
The achievement marks Tems’ first Diamond-certified record in the US and further cements her status as one of Africa’s most successful global artists.
She has also surpassed 20.5 million RIAA-certified units across all credits in the country, joining Wizkid as the only African artists to exceed the 20 million mark.
Among her biggest certified records are “Wait For U” (11× Platinum), “Essence” (5× Platinum), and “Free Mind” (2× Platinum).
