Several albums have been riding on a wave since the inception of their release. As 2024 progresses, some of these albums have not only found a base in the listeners’ hearts but also garnered impressive streams atop various charts. Six months into the year, as curated by Turntable Chart, the following albums are the most streamed from the first half of 2024.
Sitting at the top of the list with over 100 million streams includes Seyi Vibez’s Nahamciaga EP with 136 million streams, Kizz Daniel’s TZA with 118 million streams, Shalipopi’s Presido La Pluto with 110 million streams, and Odumodublvck’s Eziowku with 102 million streams. Asake’s sophomore album, Work of Art charts at number 5 with 89 million streams. Charting closely are Young Jonn’s Jiggy Forever and Burna Boy’s I Told Them with 77 million and 76 million streams respectively.
Wizkid’s S2 has garnered 59 million streams while Vibez Incorporation Mixtape Vol.1 comes 8th with 57 million. Shalipopi makes the cut again with his second studio album, Shakespopi with 53 million streams.
While the majority of these albums have been released since 2023 and experienced longevity to garner notable streams, it is impressive to see albums like TZA, Vibez Incorporation Mixtape Vol.1, and Shakespopi making the list despite being released across the first half of the year.
