Talented singer and songwriter Nwosu Emmanuel popularly known as Kristos Ema is a Nigerian Afrobeats act who has been in the music industry professionally for two years. He came into the limelight with the release of his debut project titled ‘Colors and Vibes‘ EP.

Kristos Ema’s sophomore project is another extended play, which is titled ‘Tales From 7th Heaven‘. The project contains four songs including the well acclaimed ‘Falling‘. It encompasses the fusion of Pop and R&B laid on an Afrobeat foundation.

Kristos Ema’s ‘Tales From 7th Heaven’ track listing and credits.

Falling‘, the intro, catches the listeners attention with its bouncy and soothing nature. The singer admits falling in love when he sings “Baby I’m falling, it feels like we were made for this“. The song has an arousing ‘Pop&B‘ feels that makes it easily resonate with listeners on first listen. The soft underlining keys and violin takes it to another level. This is exactly the intro he could have hoped for. On ‘Lost‘, Kristos Ema flexes his supercilious lyrical prowess. This is one of those naughty songs as the singer explores the topic of sex with an impeccable descriptive ability that projects the listener to the imagery he is trying to create.

Chance‘ is another interesting cut. The singer is simply begging his partner not to leave as he ponders on the sorrowful nature accompanying the aftermath of any break-up. ‘Hoedown‘, the outro closes the EP with its groovy nature. Kristos Ema unleashes the other side of his artistry on Hoedown as he hopped on an Amapiano inspired production. The way he employs different vocal textures at different points in the song is a notable highlight.

Kristos Ema definitely made no mistake when he titled this body of work ‘Tales From 7th Heaven’ because he was in his elements while recording the tape. This body of work captures the growth and range of his musical ability. Each song captures a different mood weaved together with an awesome production. Running for just 11 minutes, it has that replay value for a three or four times consecutive listening. Kristos Ema created a masterpiece.
