Asake has made NG Spotify history as his latest album, “M$NEY,” shatters the official record for opening week streams with one day to spare.
The album recorded 37.5 million streams in just six days of tracking, surpassing the previous opening week record held by Wizkid’s Morayo with 35.8 million streams.
The achievement is another o e in the bag for Asake’s dominance in Nigeria’s streaming era, continuing a remarkable run that has seen projects like “Mr. Money With The Vibe,” “Work of Art,” and “Lungu Boy” break multiple records across digital platforms.
Released under his independent imprint Giran Republic, “M$NEY” reached the milestone before completing a full tracking week, leaving much to spare for an even wider gap.
