Asake has been aiming to set a new record on the Nigerian Apple Music Chart, and now he’s achieved it.

His “Lungu Boy” album has been competing with Omah Lay’s “Get Layd” for the title of the second longest-running #1 album on the chart.

Now, Lungu Boy has matched “Get Layd’s” record, holding the #1 spot for an impressive 11 weeks.

The top record remains with Wizkid’s “Made in Lagos,” which dominated the #1 position for 17 weeks. However, if “Lungu Boy” maintains its momentum, Asake could be on track to surpass this record in just six more weeks.
