It’s a new year and we’ll officially be resuming our tradition of updating you on how numerous albums fared across various charts and DSP’s in the past week. From the Billboard charts to the UK charts and the various streaming platforms.
Week Of December 31st – January 7th
Billboard World Albums Chart
Wizkid’s S2 EP debuted at #11 on the Billboard World Albums chart last week, making it his fourth entry on the chart. In other news, Rema’s Rave & Roses moved up a spot to #9 in its 74th week on the chart, where it has peaked at #2. Burna Boy’s I Told Them also moved up a spot to #12 in its 18th week, after previously peaking at #2 also.
NG Apple Music
Last week, Wizkid’s S2 completed 2 weeks atop the NG Apple. A number of milestones have also been reached by some body of works and they are as follows. Burna Boy’s I Told Them has spent 19 weeks in the top 5. Rema’s RAVAGE EP has spent 10 weeks in the NG Apple top 10.
Spotify NG
ODUMODUBLVCK’S EZIOKWU has now spent 10 weeks atop the NG Spotify albums chart. It has now equalled Davido’s Timeless as the 2023 longest charting #1 album and extends record as the longest #1 album by a rapper on Spotify. In other news, Burna Boy’s I Told Them has now spent 20 weeks in the top 5 of the albums chart. Asake’s Work Of Art also reached a new milestone of 30 weeks in the top 5.
Audiomack
Shallipopi’s Presido La Pluto is atop the audiomack albums chart, followed closely by Seyi Vibez’s NAHAMciaga at #2, Asake’s Work Of Art at #3, Mohbad’s Blessed and Burna Boy’s I Told Them.
Boomplay
Shallipopi’s Presido La Pluto has now spent 9 weeks at #1 on the Boomplay weekly albums chart. Wizkid’s S2 is at #2, followed by Seyi Vibez’s NAHAMciaga, Davido’s Timeless and Rema’s RAVAGE at #3, #4 and #5 respectively.
