Weekly Albums Chart Round-Up: Asake Completes Clean Sweep

Week Of August 11th – August 17th

It’s the dawn of a new week and tradition demands that we update you on how numerous albums fared across various charts and DSP’s in the past week. From the Billboard charts to the UK charts and the various streaming platforms.

Billboard World Albums Chart

Tems’ “Born In The Wild” drops a spot down to #8 in its 9th week on the chart after initially peaking at #2. Ayra Starr’s “The Year I Turned 21” also dropped a spot down to #12 in its 10th week. Rema’s “Rave & Roses” is the last NG album on the chart at #14 and its in it record 105th week.

NG Apple

Since debuting on top of NG Apple albums chart on its release day, Asaks’s “Lungu Boy” has remained at the #1 spot till date.

Spotify NG

Asake’s “Lungu Boy” is now #1 on the Spotify NG weekly albums chart displacing Rema’s “HEIS” that had originally spent 4 weeks at the top of the chart.

Audiomack

Asake’s “Lungu Boy” is #1 on Audiomack, with Ayo Maff’s “Maffian” at #2 and Seyi Vibez’s “Loseyi Professor” at #3.

Boomplay

Asake’s “Lungu Boy” debuts at #1 on Boomplay, completing a full Sweep across major DSPs. Rema’s “HEIS” has been displaced to #2 and Young Jonn’s “Jiggy Forever” is at #3.
