Surulere-bred artiste Tobi AJ shares his debut single of the year, “Break your Back”
Growing up on the suburbs of Surulere, Lagos, Oluwatobiloba Asu-Johnson has been singing since the early age of 10.
The super-talented singer, songwriter and even rapper offers a unique technique of blending Afro Pop, Dancehall and Hip-Hop. He draws influences from Wizkid, Odunsi(the engine), Skillibeng, Drake amongst others.
Tobi AJ’s new single “Break your Back” is a club-themed dancehall record that fuses the Caribbean sound with new-school afrobeats melodies. Originally a freestyle, it is Tobi’s first single of the year and hopefully a sign of more things to come.
