The Sarz Academy 3.0 roll-out is on with ‘Jam One Kele’ by Gimba, Millymay_pod & Fxrtune

‘Jam One Kele’ is giving a ‘Slip N Slide’ kind of vibe (where Wizkid, Shenseea and Skillibeng all had a nice time coming together to create quality music) or a ‘Solid’ vibe (where Burna Boy, Blxst and Kehlani combined dynamically to great effect). I tell you, these 3 songs are some of the elite trio-collabs out of Africa in a while.

The Sarz Academy being instrumental to the careers of some of the famous names in the music industry is not talked about enough. Not much word is needed to have enough clarity that this foundation is an idea of the legendary producer, Sarz. The academy is dedicated to developing the raw abilities of the different interested talents that saturates the music industry. It is interesting to say that this academy’s exploits have birthed important contributors to the industry, with the top of the list being P.Priime, Tempoe, Kel-P, Dunnie and many more.

Now in it’s third session, new sets of superstars are being moved on into the music world after intense training and readiness to take center stage in what comes next. However, music records must be created before all of that happens. On Jam One Kele, The Sarz Academy present the first of its new graduates in Gimba, Fxrtune and Millymay_pod. The track which is also produced by fellow graduates Oddwave, Twitch Papi and Bombocat. Although, supervised by Sarz himself, listeners can be certain to get premium and mind-blowing record.

Gimba ushers us in with a melodious prelude which sets the tone for his hook. It is safe to say this Gimba has scored another impressive outing after an excellent debut on DJ Tunez’s ‘Blessing‘ with Afrobeats OGs, Wizkid and Wande Coal. On ‘Jam One Kele‘, Gimba opts for simplicity in choice of words as he describes the luminous aura of an African woman in every room and how their presence lights up everywhere.

I jam one kele yester-night, when she dey come around / I jam one kele yester-night wey she dey shine like star / I jam one kele yester-night, wey she dey give my vibe

The hook for Jam One Kele performed by Gimba.

Gimba does well to lay a solid thematic foundation for the verses from Fxrtune and Millymay_pod to thrive. Fxrtune takes over instantly on the first verse – not allowing a drop-off in energy – with a Carribean inflected vocal delivery while narrating his own experience in the night club with different women. Millymay_pod, however, was more impressive with his verse that called for the use of the listeners imagination to picture his own experience.

Jam One Kele‘ joins the list of elite offerings to come out of The Sarz Academy. For a moment, let’s assume we had no idea that these budding act are just being unveiled into the music world, you would not be wrong if you had thought they are established acts with project(s) under their belt. The music is good and they all had a splendid outing.

News coming out of the camp is that ‘Jam One Kele‘ is the first single off the second installment off the academy’s ‘Memories That Last Forever‘. We are hyped for what they have in store and this is a perfect start to the academy’s second wave.
