Omotena is a story of lovers.Β It speaks about a low-income man who fell in love with a sex worker. It talks about the barriers that can be overcome when thereβs genuine love present between a man and a woman.

On “Omotena“, Biza relies on simple yet profound poly rhythmic melodies which he conjures out easily and draws listeners in with its melodic resemblance of a record you definitely think you’ve heard before somewhere but is quite new and unique to him. Biza’s baritone leads the proceedings on the layered production that backs him up well as he sings of two lovers seeking to overcome the barriers between them and settle for what is beneficial to both parties.
The best thing about “Omotena” is not just the production that was brilliant from the beginning of the record, but also how Biza controls everything around him to his tempo and pace, including the background vocals.
