His music journey started very early in his life. At the early age of 9, he discovered his passion for music while at the Celestial church he was attending at the time, and by the age of 11, he was already a skilled drummer. This early feat indicates raw talent and dedication to craft.
His professional career as a recording artiste started in 2015, when he released ‘Kon to Ji’, after which he took a temporal hibernation for a period of three years, coming out with his first major hit single ‘Certified Gangster’, on the single we saw a new improved Shun Breezy, hinting that the hiatus he took was to hone his music skills. The ‘post-hiatus’ Shun Breezy went on to drop multiple hit singles, his biggest being ‘Summer’, ‘Butterfly’ and ‘Stoner Girl’.
Regarding his music genre, Shun Breezy fuses African Afrobeats and Western Pop to create a fusion he identifies as ‘Afro-life’. He uses his habitat and personal experiences as tools in his music, creating highly relatable content appealing to his audience. He draws influence mainly from his native musicians for example Ayuba, Shina Peters, Yinka Aiyefele and the likes, he also draws influence from Western acts like Chris Brown.
In recent times, Shun Breezy has been up to a lot, doing background works for big acts like Runtown, Kel P, Teni, Young Jonn and Skillibeng. Even scoring a major achievement, co-writing ‘In the Garden’ a song off Davido’s latest album ‘Timeless’. On his own personal career, after another yet hiatus lasting a year he recently dropped a single titled ‘Personal’, which has been received positively by his fans and music lovers alike. Shun Breezy is one to watch out for as his limelight moment is around the corner.
