Ruger Exits Jonzing World and Launches New Record Label, Blown Boy Entertainment

On the 6th of February 2024, Ruger took to his Twitter and Instagram pages to announce his departure from his previous record label Jonzing World owned by D’prince. The announcement also included launching his self-owned label, Blown Boy Entertainment.Β

To recall, Ruger was signed to Jonzing World on January 19, 2021 and released his debut track, One Shirt featuring Rema, a Jonzing World signee and the label head, D’prince.Β 

Spending 3 years under Jonzing World, Ruger released 3 official projects including Pandemic, The Second Wave and Ru The World.

The announcement did not come entirely as a surprise to fans as Ruger had been teasing the existence of Blown Boy Entertainment, which already raised speculations that he might be exiting Jonzing World.Β 

While we are rooting for Ruger, we are also on the lookout forΒ  Joeboy who also announced his departure from emPawa Africa on the 2nd of February to start his label, Young Legend.
