Opjakes (born Opeyemi Jacob Abodunrin) has just extensively explored the emotional possibilities of instrumental music on his four-track EP, “Mospheric Vol 1.”

Released on June 29, 2026, the project features “Wind,” “Piano Song,” “Calm,” and “Lost,” with a total runtime of just over 13 minutes.
Built around piano, guitar, bass and drums, the EP often feels closer to a film score than a conventional release. “Wind” establishes its atmospheric character through repetition and deep percussion, while “Piano Song” leans into warm, hopeful piano melodies.
“Calm” slows the pace with gentle bass and keys, before “Lost” closes the project with lo-fi textures and an increasingly emotional guitar-led progression. Across four tracks, Opjakes creates music that communicates without lyrics, allowing each instrumental to carry its own mood, tension and sense of movement.
