Titled “FOB” or “Fresh Off The Boat,” this project is Maradona’s journey from Nigeria to America, sharing his solo migration.
Unlike the derogatory use of the term, Maradona aims to redefine it positively. Through music, he recounts building a new life from scratch, highlighting his grind, hustle, and continuous journey.
The 8-track EP touches on struggles, love, partying, raves, fashion, and lifestyle, capturing a comprehensive narrative. The project is to be complemented by a twin venture, “I.J.G.B. (I Just Got Back),” forming a holistic exploration of his experiences.
Maradona’s music not only challenges stereotypes but also celebrates his resilience, inviting listeners to honor the determination behind being “Fresh Off The Boat.”
