Inart Turns Up the Heat on “For The Record” [Review]

Inart’s latest single, “For the Record, brings an electrifying burst of Afro Fusion. Released as the precursor to his highly anticipated sophomore EP, this track arrives at the perfect time, building on the momentum created by his previous work.

Produced by Daniel Bliss, the record is a sultry ode to love, desire, and self-assurance. It’s a sonic space where Inart balances his sharp lyrical delivery with a magnetic rhythm that is as intimate as it is energetic. There’s no hesitation in his voice as he draws you into his world, where emotions run deep and sensuality takes centre stage.

Inart’s confidence pulses through the entire track. From the very first beat, an urgency mirrors his intentions toward his love interest. He isn’t merely infatuated; he’s certain of his place in her life and equally certain that she feels the same pull. His smooth Afroswing flow, reminiscent of a seasoned lover laying out his case, turns every lyric into a declaration of intent. With production that blends Afrobeats, Dancehall, and Afrorap, For the Record is an invitation to be immersed in a groove that defies boundaries, much like Inart himself.

There’s a subtle nod to his previous release, “Sade Riddim”, where his yearning first took shape, and now it reaches a fervent crescendo. Here, Inart is no longer waiting or wondering—he’s stepping into the light. What is most striking about this single is how effortlessly the Afroswing artist switches between sensitivity and boldness. There’s a duality in his delivery: he’s tender, yet firm, sensual but unapologetically assertive.

Embracing a raw honesty,  Inart impressively weaves eroticism into the core rhythm of “For the Record”. He doesn’t shy away from sensuality, bringing an unabashed intimacy to the forefront. There’s no subtlety in his desire, and that’s exactly what makes the song so striking—it’s a celebration of physical connection and the electric tension that comes with it.
