Illbliss Announces new Album, “Sideh-Kai” out February 24th

On Friday, February 2nd, 2024, veteran Nigerian rapper Illbliss announced the imminent arrival of his eighth solo studio album, titled Sideh-Kai, via X.

Illbliss.

The project is slated for an unconventional but numerically catchy release on Saturday, February 24, 2024. It serves as Illbliss’ eleventh overall project, his most recent release being 2020’s Illy Chapo X. In 2019, Illbliss released Illosophy and the joint effort with Teck Zilla, IllyZilla.

Among the album’s guest artistes is Odumodublvck, who features on the track, ‘Full Chest’. The promotional video on X features a tease of the heavy-hitting lead single, followed by the album art which features two of Illbliss’ children. Months earlier in November 2023, Illbliss dropped a teaser video, indicating that the album has been in the works for over a year. Going by Illbliss’ prior releases, fans can expect more of Illbliss’ hard-hitting and direct lyricism. Additionally, going by Illbliss’ recent X posts, fans can also expect an immersive, introspective experience.

The fruits of Illbliss’ renaissance have not gone unnoticed. At the 2020 Headies Awards, Illbliss clinched the Lyricist on the Roll award for his track, ‘Country’, off his Illy Chapo X album. Earlier in 2016, he clinched the Best Rap Album and Lyricist on the Roll awards for his #Powerful album and ‘Chukwu Agozi Go Gi’ track, respectively.
