Headies Announces Their 17th Edition Nominee List

The Headies Awards have officially unveiled the nomination list for their highly anticipated 17th edition.

The prestigious ceremony is scheduled to take place on April 5, 2025, covering a review period from April 1, 2023, to July 31, 2024.

This year’s nominations see some of the industry’s biggest names leading the pack. Rema takes the top spot with nine nominations, followed closely by Ayra Starr and Odumodublvck, who each secured eight. Davido, Tems, Shallipopi, and Asake also received six nominations each.

One of the most coveted categories, Next Rated, features some of the most promising rising stars who have made significant waves in the industry. Qing Madi, Shallipopi, Odumodublvck, Ayo Maff, and Nasboi are the artists contending for this prestigious honor, which has historically been a springboard for major careers.
