Across the years, we have had so many iconic indigenous MCs from the Eastern parts of Nigeria. From Mr Raw to Phyno to Illbliss to Erigga to Jeriq and many more. Promzy is the latest to etch his name on the list of super-talented rappers keeping the Igbo culture on lock.

Known popularly as Nwa Abia, the MC makes indigenous rap/trap music and does it magnificently. Born and bred in Lagos, Promzy debuted officially in 2019 but only perfected his game since the turn of the decade with his debut single “Resurrection” catching the eye of many in 2022.

He follows it up with his debut body of work, titled “Louder Actions“. The 6-track EP mixes the genres Hip-Hop/Rap, Trap and Drill. With impeccable production and sound engineering offered by acclaimed music producer, Major Bangz.

In an industry where everyone is doing the same thing just to pop, Promzy makes a bold move as an Indigenous Trap/Rap star that infuses his local dialect into his smooth vocals and lyricism.

If you are a fan of indigenous rap music, this is a must-listen as Promzy’s “Louder Actions” poses as one of the best Hip-Hop debut EPs in modern times.
