Dream Empire Music (DEM) has officially released a statement addressing what it describes as “fraudulent conduct and breach of contractual obligations” by its signed artiste, Ekeh Chiaka Joseph, popularly known as Majeeed.

According to DEM, the statement was issued to notify the public, music industry stakeholders, and business partners about serious misconduct by Majeeed, who abandoned his contractual obligations in December 2024.
The label accuses the singer of “unauthorized international travel,” “failing to perform at fully paid shows,” and engaging in independent bookings without disclosure, actions that DEM claims have resulted in financial losses amounting to ₦105 million.
“Any individual or entity that transacts with Majeeed without DEM’s express approval shall be deemed complicit,” the statement warns, threatening potential legal action against those who collaborate with the artiste without clearance from the label.
Dream Empire Music has urged the public and industry stakeholders to “exercise caution, uphold the rule of law, and avoid any transactions that may further enable or perpetuate fraudulent behavior.”
This development marks a significant moment in the relationship between Majeeed and his label, with legal battles possibly looming.
