The album had high expectations, and it certainly lived up to them. It garnered the highest number of streams on Spotify (globally) for the opening day of an African album, and it also charted prominently worldwide. Notably, in the United Kingdom, it achieved a major milestone.

Anticipated to debut at number 1 on the UK Official Charts, its only competition was Claire Richards’ 2023 album “Euphoria (Deluxe Edition) Album.” However, Burna Boy outperformed expectations, selling over fourteen thousand album units and securing the top spot. This achievement marks it as the first African album to reach this milestone in the UK.

In recognition of this accomplishment, the Official Charts body presented him with a number one plaque, the first of its kind for an African album. Previously, Burna Boy had received a number one plaque for his collaboration on the song “Own It” with Ed Sheeran and Stormzy in 2020.
