This milestone marks his second project to earn a certification in the country, further proving the Nigerian superstar’s strong international pull and consistent streaming power.

Notably, only three Nigerian albums have ever achieved certified status in New Zealand: Burna Boy’s “Love, Damini” (Platinum), Wizkid’s “Made in Lagos” (Gold), and now Burna Boy’s “I Told Them” (Gold).

The accomplishment highlights the growing demand for Afrobeats and African pop on a global scale, reinforcing Burna Boy’s position as one of the continent’s most influential musical exports.
