Black Sherif’s debut album, “The Villain I Never Was,” has reached the 300 million-stream mark on Spotify, becoming his first project to achieve the milestone on the platform.
The acclaimed album helped establish Black Sherif as one of Ghana’s most prominent voices, blending hip-hop, highlife and African drill across tracks such as “Kwaku the Traveller,” “Oh Paradise” and “Second Sermon.”
In 2023, “The Villain I Never Was” became the most-streamed Ghanaian album on Boomplay after crossing 300 million streams on the platform.
The achievement adds to the album’s streaming history, after “The Villain I Never Was” was previously recognised as the most-streamed Ghanaian album on Boomplay.
