Amaarae is set to complete her trilogy with “Black Star”, a genre-blurring third studio album that highlights her fearless creativity and bold sonic direction.
The 12-track project is fronted by the electrifying single “S.M.O.,” a seductive blend of 1980s Ghanaian highlife, Detroit club bass, zouk, and shimmering steel-pan rhythms—all carried by Amaarae’s signature silky vocals.
Shot in Ghana by director Omar Jones, the accompanying video mirrors the song’s confident, celebratory energy and cultural richness.
With “Black Star”, Amaarae cements her place as a boundary-pushing force in global music, promising a vibrant, genre-defying experience. The album is slated for release on Friday, August 8, 2025.
