Rave & Roses is now the second longest-charting Nigerian album the US Billboard 200
Not many debut albums are like Rave & Roses. It has top-notch quality, insane replay value, and massive commercial success. Over the course of a year and a half since its release, it has skyrocketed Rema from a regular newbie to a force to be reckoned with in the Afrobeats scene, breaking records never heard of before.
The album has surpassed Wizkid’s ‘Made in Lagos’ as the second longest-charting album ever by a Nigerian act on the US Billboard 200. It debuted on the charts in January of this year at #81 and has spent 23 weeks on the charts, currently holding the #103 spot.
It is only behind King Sunny Ade’s ‘Juju Music’ (29 weeks). The achievements of this album have definitely placed it among the greats, attesting to the worldwide acceptance of Afrobeats.
