FOLA has officially surpassed 1 billion streams across all credits on Spotify, becoming the 23rd Nigerian act to reach the milestone.
The achievement comes just a year after FOLA’s Spotify catalogue stood at just 300 million streams. He has added roughly 700 million streams over the past 12 months, driven by a rapidly expanding catalogue and a string of successful collaborations and releases.
His breakthrough project “catharsis” has been a major part of that growth, surpassing 1 billion streams across all platforms earlier this month, just one year after its release.
FOLA now joins a Spotify billion-stream club that includes Wizkid, Burna Boy, Rema, Tems, Davido, Asake, Ayra Starr, Omah Lay, Seyi Vibez and Joeboy.
