Yemi Alade returns with her seventh studio album, “It’s Yemi Alade,” a vibrant 15-track project shaped by two years of creative exploration.
Rooted in the idea of returning to her musical foundations, the album revisits highlife while blending afropop, afrobeat, disco, and house into a sound that reflects her versatility and evolution.
Described as a “diary of melodies,” the project explores love, life, resilience, identity, gratitude, and spirituality, with each track offering a distinct emotional perspective. Its pan-African scope is strengthened by collaborations with Bien, Njerae, Sofiya Nzau, Don Jazzy, Teni, FAVE, Spyro, Jeriq, Ferre Gola, and Singuila.
Following “Don’t Be Shy” with Bien and “Ala Bekee” with Don Jazzy, “It’s Yemi Alade” reinforces her commitment to African musical heritage while pushing her sound forward.
