FOLA is ushering in a new chapter with the announcement of his sophomore album, “9,” revealed through a social media post that ties the project’s title to football’s number-nine position.
Alongside the number, FOLA introduced the message, “Striker; the artist you call when you need a hit,” turning the football reference into a statement about his musical identity and ability to deliver.
The announcement follows a breakout 2026 for FOLA, highlighted by “treat u right” with Ayra Starr and his appearance on Davido and Mayorkun’s “B4 B4.” “treat u right” also earned FOLA his second No. 1 on the Official Nigeria Top 100, following “Paparazzi” with Shoday.
Set for October 9, “9” builds on the momentum of “catharsis” while introducing a sharper, more confident FOLA.
