Ayra Starr’s sophomore album, “The Year I Turned 21,” has officially surpassed 1.4 billion streams on Spotify, extending its record-breaking run on the platform.

The milestone makes it the fourth Nigerian album to cross the 1.4 billion-stream mark and the second project by an African female artist to achieve the feat, following Tyla’s self-titled album, “TYLA.”
The project has continued to enjoy remarkable global success, powered by fan-favourite records including “Commas,” “Bad Vibes,” “Santa,” and “Last Heartbreak Song.”
It also breaks a domestic record, remaining the first Nigerian female album to surpass one billion Spotify streams.
