Rising Nigerian artist Lucky Yay! has officially released his debut double single, “Wizmel Is Lucky,” a two-track project featuring “Tilda” and “My Gist,” via ONErpm.
Marking his first independent release after finishing in the Top 5 of MTN’s Next Afrobeats Star, the project showcases an artist focused on personal storytelling rather than reality show momentum.
“Tilda” is an emotionally charged Afropop record that explores grief and resilience over melodic production inspired by the Sarz sound, while “My Gist” offers a lighter, witty reflection on rumours and social media culture.
