The project, which played a key role in expanding Wizkid’s international reach, blended Afrobeats with dancehall, R&B, and pop influences, and featured global collaborations with acts like Drake, Chris Brown, and Major Lazer.
With this achievement, “Sounds From The Other Side”becomes Wizkid’s fourth project to surpass the 300 million-stream mark on Spotify, joining a growing catalog that includes “Made in Lagos,” “More Love, Less Ego,” and “Morayo.”
The project also helped cement his transition from African breakout star to global music force, with standout records like “Come Closer” and “Daddy Yo” driving its long-term streaming success.
Beyond streaming milestones, Wizkid remains one of Africa’s most decorated artists, with Grammy recognition, multiple sold-out international tours, and billions of global streams across his catalog, reinforcing his status as one of Afrobeats’ most influential pioneers.
