Fortune Lio C has literally been floating on and manifesting his name. Born Eweh Fortune, it’s no surprise that the element of luck has been involved with him every step of the way. Rising though the barriers of obscurity from his hometown in Benin City, Fortune Lio C’s rise has been nothing short of exceptional. Having had to earn his way into large visibility through painstaking means, his career has been shaped to this level by much determination and hard work.

His debut single as a professional artist came on his Valentine’s day release “Take Back” with the also talented underground superstar, KHiiD. Since then, it has been all about charting a course for his career to follow. Following in line with most of the current staples of the mainstream, Fortune Lio C crafts a delectable Amapiano tune on his second release of what has been his breakthrough year.

Addiction” begins with heavy bass drums because of its Amapiano backdrop before the swooning ad-libs sets in that sets the tone for a groovy yet gentle Amapiano offering. Fortune Lio C likens his love interest to possible substances one could get addicted to while also admitting that she is his biggest temptation. Even while he is requesting for his lover’s attention, he still wants some assurance when he sings ” Tell me you love me, show me you got me“. It doesn’t end there, the manner at which he belts out his confessions is captivating and his composure emits a readiness vibe.

While not much has been made to fully establish him as an act to look out for the industry as this is just his second outing as a professional artist, Fortune Lio C does show the innate potential he has got as reels through the Amapiano production in a swashbuckling fashion to create a marker and a solid introduction of his talent to other audience. Addiction might not do the rounds in terms of number but it does solidify his status as one of the next big things to emerge from the talent base in south eastern region of the country. This is a good way to start.
