Weekly Albums Chart Round-Up: Victony, Ayra Starr, Shallipopi & more

It’s the dawn of a new week and tradition demands that we update you on how numerous albums fared across various charts and DSP’s in the past week. From the Billboard charts to the UK charts and the various streaming platforms.

Billboard World Albums Chart

Tems’s “Born In The Wild” debuts at #2 on the Billboard World Albums chart, thus making it the highest peak for a Nigerian female act and the highest for any Nigerian album, this year. It is also her second project to debut on the chart.

Ayra’s “The Year I Turned 21” dropped a spot down to #5 in its 2nd week after previously peaking at #4. Rema’s “Rave & Roses” stays at #9 in its 98th week, after previously peaking at #2.

Apple NG

Hours after its release, Victony’s debut LP “Stubborn” peaked at #1 on the NG Apple albums chart, making it his second project to achieve said feat.

Spotify NG

Ayra’s “The Year I Turned 21” has now spent three consecutive weeks at #1 on the Spotify weekly albums chart.

Boomplay

Shallipopi’s “Shakespopi” has now spent 11 weeks at #1 on the Boomplay weekly albums chart. Only both of his albums have reached #1 on the platform in 2024.

Audiomack

Vibez Inc’s “Vibez Incorporation Mixtape Vol. 1” remains at #1 on the albums chart on Audiomack, whilst Victony’s “Stubborn” zeroes in at #2. Lil Frosh’s “Double XL” rounds up the top 3.
