It’s the dawn of a new week and tradition demands that we update you on how numerous albums fared across various charts and DSP’s in the past week. From the Billboard charts to the UK charts and the various streaming platforms.
Billboard World Albums Chart
Rema’s Rave & Roses holds its spot at #9 on the Billboard World Albums chart, this week. It peaked at #2 and has now spent 70 weeks on the chart.
NG Apple Music
Seyi Vibez has dethroned ODUMODUBLVCK from the top spot on the NG Apple Music chart with his new release, NAHAMciaga EP. It’s his 4th project to reach #1 in 2023 and his 6th since November, last year. Prior to that, ODUMODUBLVCK’S EZIOKWU had spent 4 weeks at #1 on NG Apple music chart.
A number of albums also reached new milestones on Apple Music and they are as follows; Burna Boy’s I Told Them has now spent 15 seeks in the top 10 of the album chart. Seyi Vibez’s Thy Kingdom Come has spent 20 weeks in the top 10, Asake’s Work Of Art has spent 24 weeks in the top 10 and Flavour’s brand new album also peaked at #2 on the album chart.
On the year-end top streamed projects report, Asake’s Work Of Art emerged as the top streamed NG album of 2023.
Spotify NG
ODUMODUBLVCK’S EZIOKWU has re-peaked at #1 on NG Spotify Weekly Top Albums chart, extending its record as the longest charting #1 album by a rapper in NG Spotify history.
2023 year-end top streamed projects have also been released and Davido’s Timeless came out as the top project on Spotify.
Audiomack
Asake’s sophomore album, Work Of Art has now surpassed his debut album, Mr. Money With The Vibe in total streams and now clinched the status of the most streamed album of all time on Audiomack. Mr. Money With The Vibe held the record with a total of 576,784,223 streams and was surpassed by Work Of Art’s 577,089,660 streams.
Boomplay
On Boomplay, Shallipopi remains on top with Presido La Pluto, with Davido and Blaqbonez following from behind closely, with Timeless and Emeka Must Shine respectively. ODUMODUBLVCK’S EZIOKWU is at #4, whilst Kizz Daniel’s Maverick rounds it up at #5.
