Week Of October 30 – November 5
It’s been another eventful week where the charts and Afrobeats albums are concerned and as per our commitment to updating you on how said albums fared across various charts, the following news is the roundup for the week in review.
NG Apple Music
In the following days, after its release Rema’s RAVAGE EP charted in 80 countries, thus becoming the first EP by an African to do so this year. Ever since the release, the EP has also remained atop of the NG album chart and doesn’t seem to be relinquishing its grip anytime soon.
In other news, Morravey’s debut EP reached a peak of #4 on the Apple Music NG album chart.
Spotify NG
ODUMODUBLVCK’S EZIOKWU has now spent a fourth consecutive week atop the NG Spotify weekly albums chart. It continues its onslaught despite release from fellow Hip-Hop heavyweight, Blaqbonez whose album, Emeka Must Shine debuted at #2 after a full week of tracking. Erriga’s Family Time also debuted in the top 10 at #8.
Audiomack
Mohbad’s Blessed is still the project to beat on Audiomack, as its streak at the top continues unthreatened. Kizz Daniel’s Maverick seems to be experiencing a resurgence and is now at #2. Asake’s Work Of Art is at #3, Burna’s I Told Them at #4 and Seyi Vibez’s Thy Kingdom Come rounds up the top 5.
Seyi Vibez’s Billion Dollar Baby 2.0 has now become the third album to surpass 450 million streams on Audiomack.
Boomplay
Davido’s Timeless continues its reign at #1, for a second week running after ending Asake’s Work Of Art ruthless 15-week streak at the top. Work Of Art has now dropped all the way to #4, whilst Kizz Daniel’s Maverick is now the #2 album. ODUMODUBLVCK’S EZIOKWU is no #3 and Rema’s RAVAGE EP rounds up the top 5.
