It’s the dawn of a new week and tradition demands that we update you on how numerous albums fared across various charts and DSP’s in the past week. From the Billboard charts to the UK charts and the various streaming platforms.
Billboard World Albums Chart
Rema’s Rave & Roses and Burna Boy’s I Told Them both mantain their respective positions at #6 and #10, in the past week. On the other hand, Love, Damini got a re-entry into the chart at #15, thus making it now officially 60 weeks for the LP on the chart.
NG Apple Music
Wizkid’s S2 has now spent a fourth consecutive week atop the NG Apple albums chart. In other news, a handful of albums have reached significant charting milestones in the top 10 of the albums chart and they are as follows.
Rema’s RAVAGE has spent 12 weeks in the top 10, BNXN’s Sincerely, Benson has spent 14 weeks in the top 10, ODUMODUBLVCK’S EZIOKWU has spent 15 weeks in the top 10, Seyi Vibez’s Thy Kingdom Come has spent 23 weeks in the top 10 and Burna Boy’s I Told Them has 21 weeks in the top 10.
Spotify NG
ODUMODUBLVCK’S EZIOKWU has now crossed over a hundred million streams on Spotify, making it the second project by a NG rapper to achieve said feat.
EZIOKWU has also spent 12 weeks atop the Spotify NG Weekly albums chart, thus making it the longest #1 charting album released in 2023. It is the longest charting #1 album ever by a Nigerian rapper.
Boomplay
Shallipopi’s Presido La Pluto has now spent 11 weeks atop the Boomplay albums chart. A monstrous streak that speaks volumes of its dominance on the DSP, despite the influx of new projects.
Audiomack
Shallipopi’s Presido La Pluto also reigns supreme on the Audiomack album charts, with Seyi Vibez’s NAHAMciaga coming in at #2 and Asake’s Work Of Art at #3.
