Weekly Albums Chart Round-Up: ODUMODUBLVCK, Shallipopi, Rema & More

Week Of October 6th – 12th

Another week has come and gone and in normal tradition, we’ll be giving updates as to how different albums performed across various charts and DSP’s in the past week. From the Billboard charts to the UK charts to the UK charts and to the streaming platforms.

Billboard World Albums Chart

Rema’s Rave & Roses dropped a spot down to #4 on the Billboard World Albums chart, this week. It peaked at #2 and has now spent 66 weeks on the chart. Burna’s I Told Them also dropped a spot down to #5 and has now spent 10 weeks on the chart.

NG Apple Music

Rema’s RAVAGE EP spent another week atop the Apple NG Album chart, but was dethroned off the top spot by Shallipopi’s debut album, Presido La Pluto on the 10th of November which happens to be Shallipopi’s 2nd #1 album of the year. Only 2 artistes have had multiple albums peak at #1 on NG Apple in 2023, and Seyi Vibez is the other artiste.

More on Seyi Vibez and milestones, Thy Kingdom Come has now spent 18 weeks in the top 10 of the album chart. Burna Boy’s I Told Them has also notched its own milestone of spending 11 weeks in the top 10 and Asake’s Work Of Art has also surpassed the duration of 20 weeks in the top 10.

Spotify NG

ODUMODUBLVCK’S EZIOKWU has now spent 5 weeks atop the NG Spotify Albums chart, becoming the first project by a rapper to hit that mark. Blaqbonez’s Emeka Must Shine dropped 2 spots from #2 to #4, and Burna’s I Told Them and Asake’s Work Of Art rose up a spot each to #2 and #3 respectively, whilst Bnxn’s Sincerely, Benson rounded up the top 5.

Audiomack

Shallipopi’s Presido La Pluto has finally ended Mohbad’s ruthless streak atop the albums chart of Audiomack in its debut week. Mohbad’s Blessed is now at #2, with Kizz Daniel’s Maverick at #3, Asake’s Work Of Art at #4 and Burna’s I Told Them at #5.

Boomplay

Davido’s Timeless continues its dominance atop the Weekly Top Albums chart, with the top 5 remaining mostly unchanged. Kizz Daniel’s Maverick is at #2, ODUMODUBLVCK’s EZIOKWU at #3, Asake’s Work Of Art at #4 and Mohbad’s Blessed at #5.
