Tweehz shows the extent of his artistic range on new record “Thankful” (Review)

The irresistible, feel-good track delivers a live Fuji rendition with delicious guitar riff and a message of gratitude, perfect for the end of the year.

Tweehz if nothing, is but a double decker ready to move in any direction freely without hindrance. Following the well-received ‘Sapa Loving,’ Tweehz returns with an infectious Afro-Fuji fusion banger which typifies his new single.

Born Chukwudi Udoka, although known professionally as Tweehz, he joins a rare breed of creatives versed with recording and producing. Known for his smooth melodies and genre-bending versatility, Tweehz has moved patiently in a bid to carve out his place in the Afrobeats scene and build a solid following that will enable him stake his claim in the mainstream shares of the industry. 

His new record “Thankful“, in which he also co-produced with Chikesan and features a live Fuji band, showcases his musical dexterity and genre-blending skills. From Dancehall to Amapiano and now Fuji, Tweehz continues to expand his sound while maintaining a cohesive musical identity all through each of his releases.

After a long time of teasing the single on all of his socials, Tweehz finally unleashes the highly anticipated Afro-Fuji fusion banger, as he likes to call it.

On “Thankful“, he enters into a celebratory mood as he reflects on past experiences that leads up to the point he finds himself in the current reality. Tweehz sings on the need to remain thankful in our endeavors, reminding us of the essence of our humanity even in tough times with hopes of better days.

Although, there is so much that has not gone well, he retains his happiness, causing for an optimistic outlook. He speaks on struggles that he’s faced through lengths of his life, and includes personal stories of himself, and career. He sums his message up perfectly when he sings that “As long as you get to life to breathe, my brother your hope never seize“.

The Fuji influenced production carries many of the genres hallmark, from the drums and even into its live rendition features, creating a soothing experience for listeners with the live band performances which permeates the record.

On “Thankful“, Tweehz offers a subtle and masterpiece worthy closer to his year. He sums up a large part of himself into the song, offering an insight into his current reality and state of mind, with his optimistic look of things.

He pulls a wonderful feat by fully incorporating the Fuji elements into the production, capturing the feels, background vocals, drums, guitar riffs and lead solo singer-esque performance. He retains it all for a record that shows the dexterity of his talents.

Another experiment done, yet, no problem.
