ShugaVybz’s manner of navigating through the process of stabilizing himself in the music industry has been planned ahead and executed with intense attention to details to the ever evolving nature of the industry.

Having earned co-writing and production credits on heavy hitting records in the industry, such as Davido’s “Away“, Iyanya’s “One Side” and “Sinner“, Guchi’s 2023 hit single “All Over Me“, Shugavybz has stepped up his game in a bid to amplify his artistic career as much as he is famous for his production works.

Building on a series of impressive collaborations this year, Shugavybz teams up with the equally talented peer BoyPee to deliver another standout track. With “Ifeoma”, ShugaVybz reinforces his reputation for crafting vibrant, infectious beats and soulful melodies that connect deeply with audiences.

On “Ifeoma“, Shugavybz and Boy Pee tap into an heavy Highlife leaning production that influences the appeal of the record. The traditional percussion and instrumentation reminisce influences from the East, which is a heritage for both artists, and also has them blend their native language into the songwriting.

The opening seconds conjures up beautiful melodic productions that captivates listeners and sets up an opportunity for Shugavybz to take the lead. Shugavybz begins with a praise for his muse “Lord, I thank you for my baby, since she came into my life, everything has been alright” he sings on mid tempo yet fast paced production.

Continuously, he states his intention and plans for her, laying bare the extent of his commitments to her. Boy Pee supports on the hook, linking up effortlessly with Shugavybz, and taking control from him seamlessly. They go back and forth at the tail end of the song, exemplifying the synergy between both acts.

The record which was also produced by Shugavybz himself is just one of the many records to have witnessed the all round talented creative touch both in the recording and production angle. Once again, he maximizes his strengths again crafting a beat that allows both acts to easily slide on them. While he leads the proceedings, Boy Pee matches his energy with a well weighted contribution.

Love themed records can be powerful but yet so simplistic in it’s component. “Ifeoma” typifies those kinds of records where the artists are not doing much, but their creativity still shines so bright. Here, they craft an easily reasonable and relatable tune that is surely to do the job of appeasing their lover’s appeal, and in extension to whoever may need them.
