Renowned as a prolific grand producer and artist, Shols has just announced his highly anticipated third EP
This marks another milestone in his musical journey that began at the tender age of 13. Having navigated through a 6-man rap group and various musical steps, his ascent has been a progressively steady journey.
Following up on his 2020 hybrid EP, Shols introduces “DARK LIGHT DRIVE,” a four-track project. The opening track, “Makaveli,” features Damilfice and Mukthar delivering defiant lyrics over Shols’ captivating Afro hip-hop bop. Damilfice imparts life lessons, while Mukthar reflects on the challenges of a rap star’s life.
The EP continues with “Amina,” a collaboration with Jayme, seamlessly blending melodic pianos and guitars to craft an enchanting Afrobeats love letter. “Nia Long” delves into nostalgic reflections on a special someone, and “I Love It Here” intricately explores complex emotions.
Shols, expressing love for the present, intertwines with Mukthar’s acknowledgment of struggles, creating a compelling narrative within the musical tapestry of “DARK LIGHT DRIVE.” The EP is set for 15th of December.
