Rave & Roses’ equals ‘Made in Lagos’ as the second longest charting Nigerian album on Billboards 200
Rema has been breaking records every other day for a while now. His debut album is arguably the most successful ever, taking him on tours around the world. The deluxe edition reached 1 billion streams on Spotify first, and he has a long list of other achievements.
Recently, the album broke yet another record. It has equaled Wizkid’s ‘Made In Lagos’ as the second longest-charting album by a Nigerian act on the Billboard 200. It debuted at number 81 on the charts and has spent 22 weeks on the chart, currently sitting at number 91.
The only album with more weeks on the chart is Sunny Ade’s ‘Juju Music’. This is a major development for Rema and the Afrobeats community in general. It is also a motivation to everyone coming up in the music industry.
