PJ Morton takes listeners on a journey across Africa with his new album, “Cape Town to Cairo,” out now via Morton Records/EMPIRE.
Created during a 30-day trip across the continent, Morton immersed himself in diverse cultures and recorded all vocals on-site.
The album blends R&B, soul, gospel, pop, and jazz with African influences, featuring collaborations with artists like Fireboy DML, Mádé Kuti, Asa, and producers P.Priime and The Cavemen.
“Cape Town to Cairo” connects New Orleans to Lagos and showcases native sounds. Additionally, Morton composed the soundtrack for Disney World’s new ride, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.
