The Benin-raised rapper comes through with two Drill tracks on new 2-track pack, ‘Untitled’.
The #234 Drill movement has been getting a lot of attentions in recent times, and it’s safe to say that one of the people spearheading the Nigerian Hip-Hop Drill music to greater heights is N£RO. The Benin born Driller and Rapstar, also known as “King of the ends” has regularly shown us what he is capable of artistically. It is no surprise that ever since he burst on to the scene over two years ago, he is regarded as an hot prospect and a potential leader to broaden the Nigerian Hip-Hop Drill soundscapes to other parts of the continent and beyond.
N£RO has shown no signs of showing down since the release of his previous 2-track pack titled “Drill Vibez” in 2020. It’s been a long time since his debut in the industry; a journey that has been very fruitful so far. N£RO has made a name for himself among the upper echelon of Hip-Hop Drillers in the country. His latest efforts, “Untitled”, another 2-track pack, is a testament to that fact.
The new release contains two new tracks in “Won Da Mo” and “Central Cee“. The two tracks were produced by LifeWith_Dike.
The first track is titled “Won Da Mo“. This is a song to his detractors and haters who never wanted him to succeed. The song has a sprinkle of Yoruba at some point and it’s surprising because N£RO is not a Yoruba native. That said, this track showcased how N£RO’s pen game has evolved massively with two solid verses that definitely puts you in awe of his talents. N£RO didn’t break a sweat on this as he flowed seamlessly with the beat. The chorus is also solid. “Central Cee” is short although an interesting cut. It follows the regular Drill vibe as the previous track. He was assisted on this track although credits was not given. Not to be overlooked, the incantations part at the end of the track is so hilarious.
For someone known as “King of the ends”, this is a solid reminder to fans and critics of his immense talents. The brevity of the tracks also made it better as it leaves fans wanting more of this creative. The production is on point, the delivery and execution is perfect. We can only hope a full length album is already in the works. But for now, let’s enjoy Untitled.
