Neeza was rightly positioned as one of the top acts to look out for in 2021 after having a year in which over-achieved than expected with two raving singles “Omah” and “Salem” at the time that earned him recognition among a large base of audience and extended his influence as a rising act. Also, subsequent release of his debut project “After School EP” nailed him down as a serious contender for one of the top rated rookies in the industry that year.
In the coming months, Neeza doubled down on everything that helped him gain popularity and fame with his loyal and core fanbase catering for their yearnings and inputting it in the music. Everyone was in love with the music and it transcended into his growth which sped him up in such a short time. So when he opened his 2024 account with the uptempo anthem “Party Riddim“, his performance on the record showed that time and hard work has been put in to sharpen up his artistic and sonic capabilities.
Recently branding out his new single titled “Killamiti“, an Amapiano fusion record, brought from the depths of creative innovations to reinvent the waning lifestyle. Here, he follows in the same pattern as his previous high octane single calling the attention of dance floors all over the country.
On “Killamiti“, Neeza taps into the power of Amapiano refining it from the stale and overly tired nature we have come to enjoy in the past few months. He strikes a balance between the production and his delivery right from the beginning, attacking the beat with hunger and composure as he creates a dance floor bop that is certain to get listeners grooving from the first second. He crafts delectable melodies and flows easily which shows the level of his control. Neeza’s performance is reminiscent of a showman at the peak of his art, in control while carrying his audience along with him.
A-T: What are your expectations with the record ?
Neeza on his expectations concerning his new single.
NEEZA: I don’t have much expectations with the record. Just as I said earlier, I wanted to create a club banger, so that’s what we did. My sole expectation is that the record blows up all around the country with popular and constant plays in all parties and clubs.
Amapiano might be currently be going down the drain in the country’s mainstream, but on records like “Killamiti“, Neeza refines it with his touch, and provides a record that meets mainstream hit requirements with its groovy bop beats that is sure to set the dance floors on fire all around the country. With little more push, he might just get another widespread moment in the glaze of the Nigerian audience again this time.
