As we speak over 30,000 people are currently locked up in a studio somewhere in Nigeria making new music, protégés you have never heard of, a few you just might later catch on to and others, well you know how that story goes, but for every minion there’s a Chief and for every million there’s a chip, so outstanding, talented, consistent and the most lucky content creators will definitely emerge and blow our minds away.

Earlier this week, we sat down with the amazing and talented Worldman Entertainment signee Nuel, and we briefly discussed how the whole music thing started for him and he tells us how all of that feels.

Q: So briefly tell us about yourself.

My name is Ordu Chimenem Emmanuel. I am a singer and songwriter, I am from Rivers State and I grew up in Port Harcourt.

Q: How did music start for you?

Music just happened for me, growing up I loved singing, although I was a bit personal with it for a while so I didn’t really sing much around people, till sometime in 2021 when I decided to pursue a career in music, I started making freestyle videos and posting them on the internet, luckily it caught the attention of people, somewhere along the line I got signed and here we are now.

Q: Fantastic, so Why Music?

Firstly, because music beautifies the soul, music is a great tool for expressing myself and my emotions, it heals my spirit and relaxes my mind, I chose music because it is something I feel really good at, so I want to share that part of myself with the world.

Q: If you weren’t doing music, what would you have focused on?

I am quite a fashionable person, so I would say fashion and modeling, but prior to music, I really wanted to play football professionally but music happened.

Q: How would you define your pattern of music?

Well, there’s no actual words to define the kind of my music I make, I interact with my music on a very personal level, my music is a blend of highlife with contemporary Afrobeats element, I try to make my song as simple and relatable as possible, so I tell my stories in a way I feel everyone can understand it.

Q: How would you define your personality and style?

I am a calm and open minded person, I live easy, I just want to make great music. have a fun time and live a good life.

Q: Briefly describe your creative process, How do you feel when making music?

I feel so high spirited, I feel so safe, I enjoy making music a lot so I love to communicate with it all the time, when creating I just try to relax and be comfortable with it, music is my best friend.

Q: What inspires your music?

Everything, my music is inspired by the everyday activities happening around me, the way I feel about certain things, I just make music out of it.

Q: How frequent do you create?

Not a single day goes by without me trying something new, I make music every opportunity I get.

Q: Your debut single “CHIDINMA” what is the story behind it.

There’s none really, most of it was just cruise and a little experience I had a long time ago.

Q: Who Produced it?

The one and only, Producer X

Q: What are your expectations from the single ?

It’s a great song, so I expect it to do great things.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 3 years

I see myself becoming a superstar, I see my self breaking new boundaries musically, I see my self traveling places, I see myself making hits.

Q: How does it feel embarking on this new journey?

For me it a whole new experience, one I have always dreamt of, so I want to give it the best I got and I hope the listeners connect to my music.

We look forward to you doing great things and we be here watching you as you unlock new levels in your career.

Nuel: Thank you.
