Juls plans to follow up his 2022 project with a Ghana-centered EP called “Palmwine Diaries Vol 1.”
The Ghanaian music industry has felt overshadowed by Nigerian music, spurring Juls to react. On social media, he revealed an upcoming EP that will be unabashedly Ghanaian. It aims to spotlight Ghana’s rich musical heritage and talents globally.
Juls highlighted the historical separation of Ghana’s music scene despite its significant role in African music history. Named “Palmwine Diaries Vol 1,” this EP is just the start. Juls intends to release sequels annually for the next five years. Drawing inspiration from his collaboration with Show Dem Camp, the project mirrors their essence, notably in its title.
While no exact release date was shared, anticipation runs high for the EP’s imminent arrival. Juls’ initiative not only addresses recognition disparities but also celebrates Ghana’s musical identity, promising captivating releases that will resonate for years.
