After becoming an overnight viral sensation, Gentleman Mike Ejeagha’s record has achieved a milestone on Spotify.

The journey began earlier this year when popular skitmaker Brainjotter created a skit featuring Gentleman Mike Ejeagha’s song “Gwo Ngwo” along with a dance routine.
The skit went viral, and the dance routine was widely recreated across social media platforms.

This resurgence in popularity led to the song becoming viral once again, propelling the album that houses the single, “Akuko N’egwu Original Vol 1,” to debut at #95 on the Nigerian Spotify Albums chart.
Remarkably, this makes it the oldest album to chart, originally released in 1983, setting a record with its 41-year journey to the charts.
