Emerging Alternative R&B artist Esseo unveils “Birds Before Land,” a metaphysical 7-track project capturing the space between heartbreak and healing.
Written between London and Lagos, the EP blends melodic rap, Afrobeats, Amapiano, and atmospheric R&B into a sound both grounded and transcendental.
Anchored by lead single “Ẹyẹ Ọ̀kìtì”, the project draws inspiration from longing, spiritual alignment, and the emotional clarity that precedes transformation. Standout tracks like “Out The Streets”, “Pretty In The City”, and “The Raven” reflect Esseo’s narrative style and genre-bending sound.
“Birds Before Land” is about the space between longing and arrival,” says Esseo. “It’s believing in love or purpose before you touch it.”
