Singer-songwriter Dinachi releases her deeply moving new body of work, “Wura The Prologue”, born from a longing to preserve fading childhood melodies, the five-track project reimagines classic Nigerian lullabies and folk songs like “Akwukwo Na-Ato Uto,” “Onye Mere,” “Do Ki Salama,” and “Iya Ni Wura.”

Stripped to just voice, guitar, and silence, Dinachi captures the warmth and memory of songs once sung across generations. “I wanted the songs to sound like time had stopped,” she shares.
Blending soul and folk influences from Asa, The Cavemen, and Asake, Dinachi delivers a tender reflection on identity and heritage.
Accompanied by WÚRÀ: The Celebration for UK Black History Month, the project stands as both music and memory — a golden ode to the past.
